What we are asking to build

2026 – 2028.

This is the plan we are putting in front of our board. Each phase has a gate; each gate has an artefact that can be inspected rather than described.

  1. 2026 H1

    In progress

    Foundations

Singapore engineering team stood up. DOT OS source tree established with a handset build and a cockpit build produced from one branch. Design system published internally.

    Gate — evidence required

    • One source tree, two targets building nightly
    • Design system v1 published
    • Core team of 20 engineers in place
  2. 2026 H2

    Planned

    AC-1 reference cockpit

First three-display cockpit reference platform running on a domain controller, with the cluster isolated behind a hypervisor and DOT Signal driving the ambient line.

    Gate — evidence required

    • AC-1 bench demonstrator running end to end
    • Cluster isolation argument documented
    • First frame under two seconds from cold
  3. 2027 H1

    Planned

    DOT Link in a vehicle

Phone-to-car continuity demonstrated in a real vehicle: digital key, profile restore and navigation handover, on a partner mule rather than a bench.

    Gate — evidence required

    • UWB digital key in a moving vehicle
    • Profile restore under 1.5 s from approach
    • Named OEM or Tier-1 evaluation agreement
  4. 2027 H2

    Planned

    Process certification

ISO 26262 and ISO/SAE 21434 process assessments completed for the cockpit practice, and the OTA chain producing UN R155 / R156 evidence as a by-product of normal releases.

    Gate — evidence required

    • Independent process assessment passed
    • Signed OTA chain in production use
    • Type-approval evidence pack generated automatically
  5. 2028

    Ambition

    Programme delivery

Cockpit software delivered into a customer vehicle programme, and a handset programme in mass production on the same runtime. One layer, two industries, shipping.

    Gate — evidence required

    • Cockpit software in a start-of-production programme
    • Handset programme at mass production
    • Shared runtime proven across both

A note on the numbers

Every forward-looking item on this page is labelled as a target or an ambition, and every performance figure carries a unit and a condition. Nothing here is presented as achieved. When a gate is passed we will change its status and publish the artefact that passed it — not the other way round.
